Myrrh-bearers

“Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome brought spices, that they might come and anoint Him… And entering the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a long white robe sitting on the right side and they were alarmed. But he said to them, ‘Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. But go, tell His disciples – and Peter – that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you”
(Mark 16:1, 3-7)

We hear in all four gospels regarding the Resurrection of Christ, the WOMEN disciples who, with courage, rushed to the tomb to anoint the body of Jesus. They were the first to learn the good news of the Resurrection and were instructed to go to Galilee and tell the disciples and apostles of Christ that He is risen.

The Myrrh-bearers is a ministry for young ladies between the ages of 6 and 18 who, with courage, stand beside the Cross and Tomb of our crucified and risen Lord, during Holy and Great Friday, Saturday, and Great and Holy Pascha.
