20 Feb Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen!

Annual Pascha picnic at Hellenic Park proves huge success as hundreds gather to celebrate Orthodox Easter with music, fellowship, and of course, plenty of roast lamb.

This year, hundreds of faithful from across Northern California gathered to celebrate the Lord’s Resurrection at Hellenic Park, located just miles away from Sacramento in Lincoln, California.

Festivities began solemnly with Agape Vespers held beneath the celebrated old oak tree and included a blessing of the newly poured foundation of the future premise, which will hold permanent bathrooms, barbeque pits, and a covered picnic area.

Tremendous work has been done in transforming this gifted acreage into something which will forever serve the spiritual and cultural needs of our spread out communities. Through the generosity of its main donor and founder, Angelo Tsakopoulos, and with the time and talent of the park’s dedicated board of directors under the leadership of George Koufasimis, we look forward with great anticipation to what the future holds.
