THE BUILD Groundbreaking Ceremony and Blessing of the Foundation 

On Sunday, June 14, 2015, His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos will preside over the services and activities celebrating the Groundbreaking for THE BUILD, Annunciation’s $12.5 million multipurpose religious and cultural center.

The celebrations will begin with Orthos at 8:30am at the Annunciation Church that will be followed immediately by a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. At the end of the service a procession led by his Eminence will lead the congregation outside and to the site where the new facilities will be built for the Groundbreaking ceremonies. Seating accommodations, under tents, have been made, and water stations will be available to ensure protection from the sun and provide comfort to all.

Fr. James and Father Timothy along with invited Clergy will assist His Eminence in the Agiasmos and Blessing of the Foundation prayers offered in Thanksgiving to God and asking for His Blessing.  Using golden shovels his Eminence, Fr. James and other dignitaries will symbolically break the ground signaling the official beginning of construction work. A warm welcome to all and introductions of guests and dignitaries, followed by four short speeches, will conclude the outdoor celebrations. 

A hosted luncheon, lovingly prepared by Voula Cazanis and Faye Vallas, will follow in the Hellenic Center. At the moment, we are over seating capacity for the Groundbreaking Luncheon and no more reservations are being accepted.
